How to write Effective Email Marketing Letters.
 
Here are some very basic but essential requirements
of an effective email marketing letter:

1) Keep the length of each line down to about
60 characters at most. Some email programs
do no recognize automatically wrapped lines
and long lines will require the reader to do
horizontal scrolling (uggh!)to see your text.

To keep your lines short, all you have to do
is hit "enter" after about every eight words.

2) Keep your paragraphs short and to the point.
Long unbroken tracts of writing making reading
difficult on the computer screen. Remember
that the average WWW user wants QUICK information
in a format that can be assimilated quickly.
A length of 4 to 6 lines is ideal.

3) State your contact information using hyperlinks.

Your URL should be written with "http" included.
e.g. http://www.privatesites.com/index.cgi?109

Your email address should be written in the
"mailto:" format as follows:-
mailto:[email protected]
This saves the reader the trouble of having to
type in your email address and avoids possible
errors in transferring it to their mail program.

Now you can take this process one step further
by including a 'subject' insert in the hyperlink.
If, for example, you would like your responding
reader to have 'MoreInfo' as the subject, your
letter should include a statement like:-
For more info just email me with MoreInfo in the
subject at [email protected] or CLICK below-
mailto:[email protected]?subject=MoreInfo
